DESIGN APPROACH

 

I have a holistic approach to interior design and focus on creating a sense of wellbeing and atmosphere, forming beautiful spaces that are inspiring and uplifting through colour, shape and texture. Intuitive room layouts, sculptural pieces, textured surfaces and patterns feature in the designs, which create a conversation, inspire the senses and feel instinctive to the client.

 

From a single room to an entire house, I work closely with my clients to create a design that feels personal to them. I will take into account my client’s individual aesthetic to give the design meaning and context.  Through extensive knowledge of products and suppliers I provide accessible contemporary design solutions that achieve high impact results.

 

Sourcing inspirational contemporary finishes, colours, furniture and fittings, I provide my clients with spaces that change the way they feel about their homes, and meet their own individual needs and budgets.

BIOGRAPHY 

 

With 20 years experience in the design industry, I started my career working for boutique design consultancies on high-end retail and hospitality projects. It was at Caulder Moore and Terry Moore Design where I created bespoke new concepts for clients such as Hotel Chocolat, including their luxury hotel in St Lucia.

 

I led the interiors team at award winning architectural practice PRP, specialising in unique and contemporary interior designs for lounges, bars and restaurants in ‘Later living’ residential developments for older people. I worked closely with ambitious clients wanting to create aspirational, modern living environments for those in their retirement.

 

Emma Hester Interiors was established in 2019, where I focus on collaborating with clients to create personal designs in their homes.
